Vedic Astrology, known as Jyotisha, is referred to as the 'eyes' of the Veda, meaning it gives us the vision to make our way to the ultimate truth of life. It is considered to be the origin of all divination or life guidance systems that exist in the world. Vedic Astrology offers profound and therapeutic insight into one's nature and is simultaneously highly predictive. By anchoring in deep wisdom and natural patterns, our relationship to the world becomes more aligned, empowered, and illumined with meaning and purpose.   
 
 
The universal principles of Vedic Astrology meet you in the current moment of your life to inspire a deeper understanding of past experiences as well as orient you toward an expanded and better-aligned future. It is a fascinating process of self-discovery. The birth chart shows your gifts, talents, and opportunities, as well as the challenges you face. It is a road map, which helps clarify the places and times where you can make conscious choices and actively participate as your destiny unfolds.

About Emily
Born in the high deserts of the Land of Enchantment, Emily has spent over 10 years seeped in the Vedic Sciences. 
 
With an education in nursing, Emily’s healing abilities bridge the East-West  paradigm. She is a clinical practitioner of Ayurveda and a wisdom keeper of Vedic Astrology. 
 
Emily has had the great privilege to be trained by mystical doctors and healing masters who have helped to fine tune her capacity to see on many levels the subtle realities that make up our human experience.
 
She is the founder of Agni Ayurveda, a center for Ayurvedic education, healing, and lifestyle practices, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Level I
​
The weekend class is suitable for both beginners and experienced students. I will cover all the fundamentals concepts of birth chart interpretation.
 
Each of the interpretive concepts will be explained in depth and profusely illustrated using the charts of well-known personalities. 
​
As a result of taking this program, the program participants will:
  • Become fluent in the basic language of Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) 
  • Have a working understanding of the Tradition and Lineage of Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology)
  • Understand the concept of Guru (teacher), Shishya (student), and Shastra (ancient texts)
  • Understand the 4 types of Karma and the varying intensities as seen in a  birth chart
  • Know the difference between Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) & Western Astrology
  • Meet the Nava Grahas (nine planets): Planetary Qualities & Characteristics 
  • Learn the Rashis (constellations): Elements, Qualities & Rulership
  • Learn the Bhavas (houses): Essential Categories & Meanings
  • A beginners understanding  of how to tell the story of the stars in a birth chart

Level II
 
This is a crucial class for clearly understanding one of the most fundamental levels of analysis – Bhava Vicara (House analysis). We spend the weekend going step-by-step through methodologies that enable a student to generate a huge amount of remarkably accurate and relevant information about a horoscope. It serves as the script for any reading.
